That reminds me of when Spot had surgery (twice) to remove cancerous tumors from his foreleg, and when I got him home, the first thing he wanted to do was play ball outside. I had to say No, even though he was disappointed. Amazing-if I'd had the same surgery, I'd be in bed for a couple of days, whimpering. Hope your finger is better by now!

I agree, people rely too much on anesthesia these days that they forget the lesson learned of why they should not do the things that injured them in the first place. Pain is a filter in our activities that we should seriously consider.
